Set in Rio de Janeiro at the end of the millennium, a group of friends share their lives and experiences with each other. The film is a moving comedy about universal themes: the couple who tries to save a failing marriage by having a child; an impulsive girl who considers her father's concerns an invasion of her privacy; the father who fears losing his job; and a woman who discovers that her boyfriends is bissexual and has AIDS.
